Chocolate Dipped Strawberries & 3 Ingredient Chocolate Bars

If you are looking for a simple valentine's treat to make in under 5 minutes then this is it!  Making homemade chocolate with only 3 ingredients is so easy.  I love that I can have that chocolate fix and know that I won't hurt myself with unhealthy ingredients.  Plus, it is extremely versatile. You can dip almonds or cashews in the chocolate or make your own chocolate bars or chocolate chips.  My favorite is chocolate dipped strawberries of course!

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup plus 1 Tbs cocoa powder
  • 4 Tbs melted coconut oil
  • Vanilla stevia drops (NuNaturals brand is what I prefer) to taste. If you prefer to use a different liquid sweetener, such as maple syrup or honey use this ratio instead: 1/4 cup cocoa powder, 1/4 cup coconut oil, 3 Tbs of your liquid sweetener)
  • optional 1 extra Tbs of oil or water if it needs to be thinner.

Directions:
  1. Combine coconut oil with liquid sweetener of choice and stir well.
  2. Add in the cocoa powder.
  3.  Stir, stir, stir! It will start to get thicker.
  4. Pour into any flat container or candy mold.
  5. Freeze until solid and store in the freezer.
  6. Once hardened, you can also opt to melt the bars again for chocolate sauce or chop them up for chocolate chips.

Chocolate Dipped Strawberries:
  1. Using freshly made chocolate bars, dip strawberries one at a time into the sauce.  Place on parchment paper to dry.
  2. You can also use the frozen chocolate bars but will need to melt first in the microwave for approximately 20 seconds.
  3. Enjoy!
